A Typical Setup

From the outside, CCC works very much like any other modern liquid chromatography technique. For example, HPLC requires a pump to move the liquid mobile phase through the system, a "column" to perform the separation, a detector and data collector to record a chromatogram, and a fraction collector to collect the output. CCC works in exactly the same way; the only difference is the column itself.
